In the growing landscape of symphonic heavy metal, Reflection of Glory is set apart by its Christian worldview and alternative metal roots.
With male-fronted vocals and alternative influences (contrasting the typical female-fronted power metal) Reflection of Glory is more than a 'Christian alternative' in symphonic metal: the sound and style of Kamelot meets the power and depth of Theocracy.
Music is a reflection of the musician and the musician’s life, and mine is no different.
All of Reflection of Glory's music is written, recorded, and produced individually at home by Barry Dreier. His latest album "Reborn" marks a significant shift in sound and vision. Recognizing the contribution of great symphonic metal bands as a means of escape and catharsis, he seeks to join that musical tradition while speaking towards the hope of the Gospel.
Preceding releases, like the still-available "Bird's Eye View (2014) and "Christmas" (2016), carry a lighter rock sound born from singer-songwriter roots. For the 2017 release of "Reborn," Barry has intentionally re-imagined his sound to match the message.
"Reborn" is a culmination of years of musical, technical, and theological training. Barry's love for music has been lifelong: a bass player since 13 years old, later earning a bachelor's degree in music. Recording and production became a hobby in high school, and he has since worked with more than a dozen artists in the studio. Over time, his love for the classical symphony orchestra, along with amplifiers and drums, fused these inclinations into this alternative symphonic sound.
Music is a reflection of the musician and the musician’s life, and mine is a Reflection of Glory.

With this fresh musical identity, Barry is already anticipating and working towards Reflection of Glory's next independent release. As a single musician producing music of this kind and scale, touring is not an option at present - but he always keeps a hopeful eye towards the future.
To God be the glory.
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
- 2 Corinthians 3:18
Barry currently lives and makes music in northern Georgia with his wife Macy. Barry prefers Fender basses and Gallien-Krueger amplifiers.
He also enjoys long walks (not on the beach), watching other people on pogo sticks, and treating most things in life less seriously than they deserve.
